The UK now has a thriving wine making industry and quality is high, especially for our traditional method sparkling wine. 

Well known English wine producers with cellar door or wine tours include Denbies in Surrey, Ridgeview in Sussex and Hush HeathGusbourne and Biddenden in Kent. 

DrinkBritain is an excellent website showcasing visitor friendly wineries. The website also provides regular news about Britain’s drinks makers and quirky facts about the best of British produce. There are lots of ideas for great days out, ideal to occupy visiting relatives or to do something different if you are planning to visit the UK. 

One of the UK’s most popular winery destinations in a holiday hotspot is Camel Valley in North Cornwall, close by sea-foodie fishing village, Padstow.
